StrideForge Terms of Service

Effective date: September 7, 2026

These Terms of Service (the "Terms") form an agreement between you and TrueStrait Technologies Inc. ("TrueStrait," "we," "us," or "our") concerning your access to and use of the StrideForge mobile application, website, route-generation features, navigation features, and related services (collectively, "StrideForge" or the "Service").

By accessing or using StrideForge, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Who May Use StrideForge

StrideForge is intended only for individuals who are at least 16 years old. You must not access or use the Service if you are under 16. If you are at least 16 but under the age of majority where you live, a parent or legal guardian must review and agree to these Terms on your behalf and supervise your use of StrideForge.

You may use certain features as a guest. Other features may require an account. You agree to provide accurate account information, protect your sign-in credentials, and notify us if you believe your account has been accessed without permission.

2. What StrideForge Provides

StrideForge generates suggested walking, running, and cycling routes based on information such as your selected starting point, destination, activity type, preferences, and requested distance or time.

Routes, distances, travel times, elevation information, turn instructions, road or trail classifications, and navigation guidance are estimates. They may be incomplete, inaccurate, outdated, unavailable, or affected by limitations in GPS signals, devices, third-party mapping data, network connections, weather, construction, closures, land access, and changing real-world conditions.

StrideForge does not guarantee that a route will:

  • match the requested distance or duration exactly;
  • remain on public property;
  • be open, maintained, accessible, illuminated, or safe;
  • be suitable for your ability, equipment, health, activity, or current conditions;
  • avoid traffic, hazards, construction, private property, restricted areas, stairs, steep grades, crossings, parking areas, or unmarked obstacles; or
  • provide uninterrupted or perfectly accurate navigation.

3. Review Routes Before and During Use

Generated routes are suggestions—not assurances that a route is safe or legally accessible. Before starting, review the complete route and use available maps, signs, local information, and your own judgment.

While using a route, you are responsible for:

  • obeying all laws, signs, closures, access restrictions, and instructions from authorities or property owners;
  • remaining aware of vehicles, cyclists, pedestrians, animals, terrain, weather, construction, and other hazards;
  • staying off private, restricted, closed, or unsafe property;
  • choosing a safe alternative or ending the activity when conditions differ from the displayed route; and
  • using suitable equipment and following applicable helmet, lighting, visibility, and traffic-safety requirements.

Never follow StrideForge instructions when doing so would be unsafe or unlawful. Do not focus on or handle your device while moving when it would distract you. StrideForge must not be used as your only source of navigation in an unfamiliar or hazardous area.

Plan smart. Stay aware.

4. Health and Emergency Disclaimer

StrideForge is a route-planning and navigation tool. It does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, fitness clearance, emergency monitoring, or emergency response services.

You are responsible for deciding whether an activity is appropriate for your health, fitness, experience, and circumstances. Consult a qualified healthcare professional before beginning or changing an exercise program if you have health concerns.

Do not use StrideForge to contact or rely on emergency services. In an emergency, stop using the app and contact the appropriate local emergency service.

5. Location and Navigation Features

Some features may use your device's location. GPS and related positioning technology can be delayed, unavailable, or inaccurate. Your displayed position, direction, speed, distance, route progress, and instructions may therefore be wrong.

You remain responsible for observing your surroundings and deciding where to travel. Navigation availability may vary by account type, device, region, platform, connection, and Service version.

6. Acceptable Use

You may use StrideForge only for lawful, personal purposes unless we authorize another use in writing. You must not:

  • interfere with, damage, overload, probe, or attempt to bypass the Service or its security;
  • access the Service using unauthorized automated systems, scraping tools, bots, or bulk requests;
  • reverse engineer or copy the Service except where applicable law expressly permits it;
  • use StrideForge to violate laws, access restrictions, property rights, or the rights of others;
  • submit unlawful, harmful, deceptive, abusive, or infringing content; or
  • use the Service in a way that could create danger for yourself or another person.

7. Feedback and Issue Reports

If you submit feedback, route reports, descriptions, or other support material, you confirm that you have the right to provide it. You grant TrueStrait a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use, reproduce, analyze, and modify that material only as reasonably necessary to provide support, investigate problems, improve StrideForge, and protect users and the Service. StrideForge does not currently accept new screenshot uploads through the issue-report form.

Personal information contained in submissions is handled as described in our Privacy Policy.

8. Third-Party Services and Data

StrideForge relies on third-party services and information, including mapping, geocoding, routing, hosting, authentication, device-location, and app-store services. We do not control and are not responsible for the accuracy, availability, security, or continued operation of third-party services or data.

Your use of third-party platforms may also be governed by their own terms and policies. Map attribution displayed in StrideForge forms part of the applicable mapping-data requirements and must not be removed.

9. Ownership

StrideForge, including its software, design, branding, logos, text, features, and original content, is owned by TrueStrait or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, personal, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use StrideForge for its intended purpose. No ownership rights are transferred to you.

10. Feature Availability and Future Paid Services

We may add, remove, modify, limit, suspend, or discontinue features. Usage limits and feature availability may differ between guests, registered users, administrative accounts, future paid plans, platforms, regions, and app versions.

StrideForge is launching without paid subscriptions. If we later offer paid features, the price, billing period, renewal terms, cancellation method, refund rules, and any additional terms will be shown before purchase. Nothing in these Terms requires us to introduce a paid service.

11. Account Suspension and Deletion

You may stop using StrideForge at any time. Registered users may initiate account deletion through the account settings or the account-deletion method identified on our website.

Account deletion is permanent and may remove your account and associated saved routes and other account data, subject to limited retention where required by law, necessary for security or fraud prevention, or otherwise disclosed in our Privacy Policy.

We may suspend or terminate access when we reasonably believe these Terms have been violated, the Service is being abused, continued access creates risk, or suspension is necessary to protect StrideForge, its users, TrueStrait, or others.

12. Service Availability

We aim to provide a reliable Service, but StrideForge may experience interruptions, delays, errors, failed route generation, inaccurate results, data loss, maintenance, or discontinued functionality. We do not guarantee that the Service will always be available, error-free, secure, or compatible with every device.

13. Disclaimer of Warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by law, StrideForge is provided "as is" and "as available," without representations, warranties, conditions, or guarantees of any kind, whether express, implied, statutory, or collateral, including warranties or conditions of accuracy, availability, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, safety, or suitability.

Nothing in these Terms excludes a warranty, condition, remedy, or consumer right that cannot lawfully be excluded.

14. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, TrueStrait and its directors, officers, employees, contractors, licensors, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, revenue, opportunity, goodwill, or use arising from or related to StrideForge.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, TrueStrait's total aggregate liability arising from or related to the Service or these Terms will not exceed the greater of:

  • the amount you paid directly to TrueStrait for StrideForge during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim; or
  • CAD $100.

These limitations apply regardless of the legal theory and even if a remedy fails of its essential purpose. They do not apply where liability cannot legally be limited or excluded.

15. Your Responsibility for Claims

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to be responsible for losses, liabilities, and reasonable costs arising from your unlawful use of StrideForge, your material breach of these Terms, or your infringement of another person's rights. This section does not require you to compensate TrueStrait for losses caused by TrueStrait's own negligence or misconduct.

16. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, retain, and protect personal information. By using StrideForge, you acknowledge that you have had an opportunity to review the Privacy Policy.

Consent to receive marketing communications, if offered, will be requested separately and is not required to use the Service unless expressly stated for a particular optional feature.

17. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms as StrideForge changes or as required for legal, security, or operational reasons. The updated Terms will show a revised effective date. When changes are material, we will provide reasonable notice through the Service or another appropriate method.

Your continued use after the updated Terms take effect constitutes acceptance where permitted by law. If you do not agree to an update, you must stop using StrideForge and may delete your account.

18. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada applicable there, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

Subject to any mandatory consumer rights or legal requirements that apply where you live, disputes relating to these Terms or StrideForge will be brought before the courts of British Columbia.

19. General Terms

If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms without our consent. We may transfer these Terms as part of a merger, reorganization, financing, sale, or transfer of the Service or our business.

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any additional terms presented for a particular feature, form the entire agreement between you and TrueStrait regarding StrideForge.
