StrideForge Route Safety

Plan smart. Stay aware.

Last updated: September 7, 2026

StrideForge creates suggested routes using digital maps, routing data, your selected preferences, and your device's location. Real-world conditions can be different from what appears in the app. Always review your route and use your own judgment.

StrideForge is operated by TrueStrait Technologies Inc.

Before You Go

  • Review the complete route before starting.
  • Make sure the distance, terrain, elevation, and activity are appropriate for you.
  • Check current weather, daylight, trail conditions, closures, and local advisories.
  • Bring suitable footwear, clothing, water, lighting, visibility gear, and safety equipment.
  • Tell someone where you are going when travelling alone or entering an unfamiliar area.
  • Carry another reliable way to navigate when travelling somewhere remote or unfamiliar.

Stay Aware While Moving

  • Pay attention to traffic, crossings, cyclists, pedestrians, animals, terrain, and changing conditions.
  • Obey traffic laws, signs, gates, closures, and instructions from authorities or property owners.
  • Do not focus on or handle your device when doing so would distract you.
  • Never follow an instruction that appears unsafe, unlawful, inaccessible, or inconsistent with your surroundings.
  • Slow down, choose another path, or end your activity whenever conditions require it.

Roads, Trails and Property Access

A generated route may occasionally include private property, restricted areas, parking areas, closed roads or trails, unsafe crossings, unmaintained paths, or locations that are not suitable for your activity.

StrideForge cannot confirm that every road, trail, path, or access point is public, open, maintained, illuminated, or safe. Never enter private, closed, restricted, or clearly unsafe property. Choose a safe legal alternative and report the route issue when possible.

Navigation and GPS

GPS, compass information, mobile data, map information, route progress, and turn instructions can be delayed, unavailable, or inaccurate. Buildings, trees, terrain, weather, device settings, and network conditions may affect your displayed location or direction.

Navigation is a guide—not a substitute for observing your surroundings. Do not rely on StrideForge as your only navigation method in remote, hazardous, or unfamiliar areas.

Walking and Running

  • Use sidewalks, paths, shoulders, and crossings where available and appropriate.
  • Face traffic when required by local rules and conditions.
  • Use lighting or reflective equipment in darkness or poor visibility.
  • Be cautious around driveways, parking areas, intersections, and trail crossings.

Biking

  • Wear an appropriate helmet and follow applicable cycling laws.
  • Use suitable lights, reflectors, and visibility equipment.
  • Confirm that the route and surface are suitable for your bicycle and experience.
  • Maintain control and be prepared for traffic, surface changes, obstacles, and other path users.

Health and Emergencies

Choose activities appropriate for your health, fitness, experience, and equipment. StrideForge does not provide medical advice, fitness clearance, emergency monitoring, or emergency response.

If you have health concerns, consult a qualified healthcare professional before beginning or changing an exercise program.

In an emergency, stop using StrideForge and contact the appropriate local emergency service. Do not rely on the app to summon assistance or communicate your location.

Report a Route Problem

If a route includes a safety, access, private-property, navigation, or route-quality problem, use Report Issue in StrideForge when it is safe to do so. Reports help us investigate and improve future routes.

Reporting a problem does not guarantee an immediate map correction or confirm that a location is safe or legally accessible.
